About London Tech Hub
An independent, practical guide to one of the world's leading tech cities.
Why we built London Tech Hub
London Tech Hub started with a simple frustration. Anyone trying to understand the London tech scene, whether a founder choosing an office, a graduate looking for a first engineering job or an overseas company weighing up a UK expansion, had to piece the picture together from press releases, glossy city marketing and scattered forum threads. We wanted one place that explains how the London tech hub actually works, neighbourhood by neighbourhood and sector by sector, in plain English and without the hype.
Our guides cover the questions people search for most often: where London's tech hub is, which areas suit which kinds of companies, how the AI and fintech ecosystems fit together, what London tech jobs and salaries look like, and how London compares with cities such as Dublin, New York and Manchester. Every article is written to be useful on its own, then linked to related guides so readers can go deeper without hunting around. You can start with our overview of where London's tech hub is or browse the full London Tech Hub blog.
How we research and write our guides
Each guide is researched from primary and reputable public sources, including company announcements, government statistics, university and accelerator websites, venture capital reports and established industry trackers. Where figures move quickly, such as funding totals, salaries or rankings, we describe the trend and the range rather than presenting a single number as fixed truth, and we tell readers where to check the latest data. We avoid invented testimonials, anonymous quotes and claims we cannot support.
We write for real decisions. That means including the downsides as well as the strengths: London's high rents, competitive hiring market and patchy access to later-stage capital are part of the story, just as its talent pool, research base and global investor network are. Articles are reviewed and updated as the London tech ecosystem changes, and dated so you can see how recent the information is. If we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently.
Our independence
London Tech Hub is not owned by, or affiliated with, any government body, property developer, coworking operator or event organiser mentioned on the site. When we name a company, workspace, hotel or programme, it is because it is relevant to readers, not because anyone paid for the mention. If we ever publish sponsored or affiliate content, it will be clearly labelled as such on the page, and it will never change our editorial assessments.
The site is produced by the London Tech Hub editorial team, a small group of writers and researchers who follow the London startup, AI, fintech and careers beat. We welcome corrections, story suggestions and data from readers who work in the ecosystem. The best way to reach us is through our contact page, and we read every message we receive.
